More family

My husband's parents are fascinating people. His mom is probably the busiest person I've ever met. She never stops doing. When she visits us, she cleans, bakes, does laundry, helps Ernie w/ building projects, runs errands. She gives the kids books, sweets, clothes and plays games and reads w/ them. My father-in-law is also a firm believer in hard work, though he's more selective about what he throws himself into. He's loyal, stubborn, opinonated, w/ a very offbeat sense of humor. Both of them have been impacted by their God and both confused and drawn to the world they live in. They've taught me quite a bit about determination and I pray God will bless them, give them peace and joy in Him.
My sisters-in-law could not be more different from each other and from my husband. The oldest of the three has been fiercely independent and her drive has pushed her to work on a cruise ship and as a nurse in Australia and England, as well as to keep stretching herself in many ways. The middle sister is devoted to her husband and children and they and their many friends are their world, which she's eager to make all it can be. The youngest is more introverted, artistic and somewhat easily wounded/discouraged, butterfly-fragile w/ gentler, quieter dreams and loves. All three have struggled, wrestled w/ God, trying to find how He fits in their lives, knowing w/o doubt He belongs there but at times trying to come to grips w/ how, what exactly that means. My husband is gentle but determined, thoughtful but sometimes silly. His faith is undeniable though he struggles w/ his choices too.
My brother is a lover of sci fi and theology. His personal grooming, according to my mom and I can sometimes see her point, leaves something to be desired. But like a piece of music he might play, he begins simply and grows more complex. His wife is creative, playful, a complement to him. My other brother is w/ Jesus and has found rest there from the storms of a life fraught w/ questions; though Jesus is the anchor, the storm can sometimes rage.
I am critical, analytical, bookish, sloppy, hankering after beauty, adventure, joy, peace, knowing it to be found in God but not always fully embracing it.
Who are you?
