Undoubtedly there are hereditary tendencies in temperament, mannerisms, as well as physical characteristics. But every individual is responsible for his or her own choices and can make right or wrong choices for himself.
Over and over again, each king in II Kings is described as following after his forebearers and doing right or more often evil in the eyes of the Lord.
How many people are watching us? What do they see? What do they emulate?
